I built My Balsa USA 1/4 scale Cub 20 years ago in 1993. It was my first giant scale plane. The Cub is an impressively large plane which requires a relatively small engine. As such, it is a good value. The Balsa USA version of this classic has a very accurate scale outline. I especially like the scale opening cabin door and window. Mine originally had an OS 1.20 four stroke and it flew very realistically. That is to say that it doesn't blaze around the sky like a pylon racer, but it is very impressive if you fly it like a Cub should be flown. It does great sideslips to landing and one wheel touch and go's. It can do a figure 8 in the length of the runway. I sold my Cub 7 or 8 years ago (big mistake). Recently, I was able to buy it back. I'm currently re-covering it and installing a Zenoah G23 engine and new servos. I'm looking forward to 20 more years.
